A retired scout vessel once owned by Juan Chavez, and now in the custody fo the OSH trading Co-oerative.

Came equipped with a hydroponics bay and a 30-tonne cargo hold. Currently adorned with a psychedelic Aztec-inspired paint job.

Shaped like a Russian Onion Dome, the Old Speckled Hen now has a complex eco-system of non-human life forms. It contains a pygmy goat named Nigella, two cats named Vladimir and Estragon and a Crab Thing child named Subject 315 Velasquez. 315 spends most of his time in the hydroponics bay where he can lurk among the greenery. 315 has also recently engaged in something of a turf war with the cats. Initially the cats and the Crab Thing were wary of each other but then, following a number of key engagements, the ship's pecking order was established and the cats now stay well out of 315's way.

After Ugo Sardini joined the ship the OSH gained its first armament and a substantial array of spare parts, thanks to Ugo's salvage claim to the destroyed ship Esmerelda.
